- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Fast for me. Visited this office on Wed. June 15 to complete my Medicare enrollment. I had earlier called the SS toll free number to secure an appointment. After a 30 minute hold I was told that the first actual appointment available was more than 60 days out. The SS rep. suggested that I simply go to my nearest office without an appointment. I decided to go the next day and arrived at aprox. 9:15am. There is ample parking on behind the office building that houses this SS location. The office consists of a large seating area with several "teller window" type stations along one wall. The office is clean but very basic. To my surprise the office was not very busy. After checking in with the young security guard I took a number from the self-service kiosk and settled in for what I thought would be a long wait. My number was called in less that 15 minutes and my Q&A with the Social Security rep. was equally brief. By my watch my entire time actually in this office was no more than 30 minutes. I was dreading this visit and assumed that I would be subjected to a DMV like experience but this was not the case. All this being said I did arrive with all my documentation in hand. I have no idea how long my actual interaction would have been had I not been prepared. As with all thing government, YMMV.By Harry Edwards, October 22, 2016
